About

About deepcamai

Deepcamai is an Adelaide-based publication covering Australian online casinos from a hospitality-industry perspective. We think of a casino — physical or digital — as a room that either has been thought about properly or hasn't, and most of what we write is about the difference. Our coverage leans toward table games, live dealer, and the service side of operators, but we cover the market broadly.

Editorial approach

We evaluate operators on a small set of variables that we've found consistently predictive: licence quality verified against the regulator's registry, depth of Australian payment integration (PayID both ways, NPP support, crypto options), game library composition across major studios, quality of live dealer offerings, terms and conditions clarity, complaint history on independent player forums, and the specific service signals that indicate whether the operator is treating players as guests or as transactions. Where an operator scores well, we say so. Where they don't, we say that too.

What we don't do

We don't accept payment for ranking placement or preferential coverage. We don't accept comps, VIP hookups, or account upgrades in return for editorial adjustments. We don't rank sites on any basis other than the framework above. We don't cover Australian-licensed sports betting or lotteries, non-casino gambling markets, or offshore markets that don't primarily serve Australian players.

Funding

Our costs are covered through affiliate commissions on account signups from readers who choose to join operators we've written about. This creates alignment (we want readers to find sites they'll actually use over time) and some misalignment (different operators pay different commission rates). The misalignment is managed by making the evaluation framework public, so readers can weigh our specific recommendations against their own priorities.

Responsible gambling

Online casino play is recreation for the vast majority of players and a serious problem for a minority. Every article on this site includes responsible gambling resources — Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858 as the primary point of contact, plus references to state services and BetStop, the national self-exclusion register. If gambling has stopped being fun, is affecting things that matter to you, or you feel you can't stop when you intend to, please reach out. Earlier is materially better than later, and there's nothing that gets easier by waiting.

Editorial team

James Hollis is our editor, based in Adelaide. James spent twenty years in Australian hospitality — pubs, hotels, and the Adelaide casino floor — before shifting to covering the online industry full-time. He writes with the specific perspective of someone who's been on the venue side of the hosting relationship, and it informs how he reads online operators. Additional contributors are named on individual articles where they appear.

Corrections

Factual errors should be reported via the contact page. We correct them transparently and note the correction on the affected article. Operator queries — including requests for coverage revisions or additions — are welcome through the same channel but do not influence editorial decisions.
